Too Cute

Here's a video of Roger. He upgraded his sax and sold his old one, a Cannonball, on Ebay to a guy in Brazil. The plan was to send it to him, while he was visiting Florida, to keep the shipping costs down. And since Roger and the buyer have become online friends, the buyer had a couple accessories sent to our house, too, so Roger could ship it all together, once he got to Florida. Sort of a long story.... anyways, here is Roger playing the sax once one last time and trying out one of the accessories that his new online friend had sent to our house. Roger sent this video to his friend. He said not to post on Facebook, but this doesn't count, so here goes... its just too cute!

The video worked Woo Hoo. I'll get this figured out yet. And I love that dear Senna will always have a place on my blog. God bless and keep you Senna and I will see you again one day......

OK, now I am ready to change directions a bit....

I love reading. Right now I am reading The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman. It's about 5 strong Jewish women, about 70 AD and how life journeys lead them to Masada and their tragic end. I love the mysticism their religion had back then. I would highly recommend this book.

 

I googled some pictures of the area. Its a World Heritage Site.

Update on SherryS

Here I am at work on a Saturday. I try to work 50 hours/week. We need the money right now. And its OK I don't mind.

I'm still on Weight Watchers and am down a total of 12 lbs so far. Kind of stuck there for a couple weeks without losing more. I am still counting points and still into it, so I'm sure I'll reduce some more this week. Weigh in is Wednesdays.

Roger's band played last week at the Red rock Bar & Grill. I went with Joy and Laura, my sister and my niece. We had a very good time!

I have some very sad news about one of my cats, Senna. He was about 15 years old and had acute liver failure. He had lost about half his body weight. We tried some pills, antibiotics and vitamins but they were not helping. He continued to look very yellow and was slowing down and most days did not fell like eating. I made the very heart-wrenching decision to put him down. Roger and I took it very hard. We had him in our lives for 14 years and he was a very good cat. Roger had made a couple videos of Senna the last week and you could here him purring. We miss him.

Hard to follow that last paragraph with anything else. It made me kind of sad writing it. I just tried to insert a video of Senna but it didn't work. Oh well.

Hello

Hi, its me, I'm going to start blogging. Bare with me. It may take a while. I am behind in the latest technology. I just got my first smart phone last month. Up until then I had been using an old grey flip phone.

Mainly wanted to start this because I follow my niece's blog, 'not ladylike' and I want to add the odd comment. I love her blog. Lisa is so talented and funny. Reading her blogs makes me feel closer to my Edmonton family. And that's good because I live in Dallas...a long ways away.

My biggest news these days, is I started Weight Watchers 3 weeks ago and I am down 7.2 lbs. Woo Hoo. I think I have the right attitude this time... you know " its not a diet , its a life style change". Well its working!
